Power And Energy Society

The Power and Energy Society (PES) is the world’s largest platform for brilliant minds to come together and share the latest technological developments in the electric power industry, for developing standards that guide the development and construction of equipment and systems, and for educating members of the industry and the general public. Members of the Power and Energy Society are the pioneers in this field and they progress by joining hands with this unique and outstanding association.

Mission

To be the leading provider of scientific and engineering information on electric power and energy for the betterment of society, and the preferred professional development source for our members.

About Our Chapter

Power and Energy Society is one of the oldest societies of IEEE. IEEE PES SBC RIT officially came into existence in August 2017. The chapter has been very active since then and conducted numerous activities that benefit the member community. Today the society has members from all fields of engineering. With the combined efforts of teachers and students, it turned out to be the largest PES SB chapter both in regional and global positions. It also ranked 4th in membership count globally. PES SB has organized many technical, professional, developmental and social activities including weekly workshops, LED/Solar Kit workshops, Intercollege workshops and quiz contests for students and young professionals.
